Oklahoma City police say a man who died Wednesday after an officer-involved shooting in the 2400 block of NE 26th street was 45-year-old Kenneth Dewayne Cooper. Officers were responding to a possible fight between neighbors when, according to police, Cooper leveled a rifle and began firing at an officer from several yards away. Sgt. Daniel Godsil returned fired. Cooper tried to flee but was taken into custody by another officer. He died on the way to the hospital.
