Convicted Oklahoma City pharmacist Jerome Ersland will stay in prison. On Thursday, the State Court of Criminal Appeals upheld his murder conviction for killing a teenage would-be robber. Ersland is serving a life sentence. In a separate decision, though, the Court reversed the murder conviction of one of two men convicted of planning the pharmacy robbery. The court ruled Oklahoma County Judge Kenneth Watson made a mistake by not granting 35-year-old Emanuel Mitchell's request to represent himself at trial.
