Council Approves Funds For Debris Removal

The Oklahoma City Council approves a resolution authorizing the transfer of storm debris reserve funds from the Oklahoma City Environmental Assistance Trust, to the city of Oklahoma City.

City Manager Jim Couch says it's 2.5 million dollars, of which FEMA will reimburse up to 85 percent.

"The state may pick-up some of the fifteen percent outside of that,.So, with those federal invovlements, the dollar amounts may not run that much," Couch told the council.

The money to pay for storm debris removal was approved, during Tuesday's council meeting.
